Based on years of experience working internationally, Starfish is convinced of the need for partnerships with other programs to avoid the proverbial "reinvention of the wheel." Through collaborating with other organizations, Starfish is able to provide higher quality services and programming that truly unlock the potential of Guatemala’s future leaders.



Givology is an Internet online giving marketplace for education that leverages small dollar donations to support grassroots projects and student scholarships in the developing world. As a P2P community at the forefront of the internet microphilanthropy revolution, Givology partners with NGOs and schools throughout the world and connects internet donors to grassroots causes. Starfish joined Givology in 2010.

She’s the First: a media campaign that promotes the importance of educating girls who would otherwise not have the opportunity to go to school. Starfish One by One is a member of She’s the First. http://www.shesthefirst.org/

Stirring the Fire: a global movement to empower women and girls. The exhibition and companion website are designed to bridge the gap between awareness and action. The website contains a Call to Action with a database of organizations and resources intended to provide specific opportunities for those wanting to help women and girls achieve social and economic justice worldwide. COLORADO PARTNERS

Concinnity Initiatives is a non-profit organization that has partnered with Starfish One by One to produce a children's book. The book will be based on the actual writings of the young women in the Starfish One by One program, and will be completed in the summer of 2011. www.concinnityinitiatives.org/

Dot-to-dot Books helped produce the Starfish One by One book, "A Mayan Star Born to Shine".

Friendship Bridge (FB) helps Starfish One by One inform parents of their crucial role in creating the conditions that foster academic success for their children. www.friendshipbridge.org
