Based on years of experience working internationally, Starfish is convinced of the need for partnerships with other programs to avoid the proverbial "reinvention of the wheel." Through collaborating with other organizations, Starfish is able to provide higher quality services and programming that truly unlock the potential of Guatemala’s future leaders.
Starfish works shoulder-to-shoulder with the following organizations in Guatemala:
Africa 70 provides training to Starfish staff to address the issue of environmental stewardship with Starfish students and families. Africa 70 also participates in Starfish's "Foot in the Door" program by providing formal internship opportunities to Starfish students.http://www.africa70.org/
Constru Casa is a non-profit organization offering basic housing to families living in extreme poverty. http://www.construcasa.org
Community Enterprise Solutions provides entrepreneurship training and opportunities for the girls in the Starfish Program. www.cesolutions.org/
JUCONI Foundation (Mexico) provides training on forming relationships of trust and empathy in addition to working with Starfish One by One staff on topics relating to family violence. www.juconi.org.mx
La Puerta Abierta (The Open Door) is a community library in Santiago, Atitlan that shares materials and training with the Starfish One by One program. www.opendooratitlan.org
WINGS Guatemala provides training and materials for Starfish mentors on subjects pertaining to reproductive health. www.wingsguate.org

Save the Children shares its time-tested knowledge and experience in the area of personal finance training targeting young men and women in rural settings. www.savethechildren.net
